The magazine, to be known simply as Wild Oats Magazine, is geared towards consumers and their interests, the retailer said. It will be published monthly, and will be available from Wild Oats Marketplace stores.

The magazine, which not surprisingly is to be printed on 100% post-consumer recycled paper, will include information on topics such as health and wellness, food trends, the environment, locally grown foods and social responsibility. The first edition will be January/February 2007.

“Our Wild Oats Magazine is a first-class custom publication that brings the adventurous, sensory experience of shopping at Wild Oats into consumers’ homes,” said the company’s vice president marketing Laura Coblentz. “Wild Oats is a resource to our customers and this magazine is another way we can provide our customers with useful information to help them eat well, live well and feel great.”
