US agribusiness Archer Daniels Midland has announced several senior management changes, aimed at creating an organisational structure that will streamline company operations.


William Camp has been elected executive vice president with responsibility for global processing. Camp joined the company in 1985 and previously served as senior vice president of oilseeds processing, cocoa and milling.


John Rice has been elected executive vice president with responsibility for global marketing and risk management. Rice joined ADM in 1976 and previously served as senior vice president of global bioproducts and food.


Camp and Rice will jointly share responsibility for managing the company’s operating divisions and subsidiaries. They will report to Paul Mulhollem, president and chief operating officer.


Edward Harjehausen has been elected senior vice president with responsibility for food and feed ingredients. Harjehausen joined the company in 1975 and previously served as group vice president and president of ADM’s corn processing and specialty feed ingredients divisions.

Jankees van der Wild has been elected group vice president with responsibility for the global oilseed businesses. Van der Wild joined ADM in 1991 and previously served as president of ADM’s North American oilseed processing division.


Mark Bemis has been elected vice president. He will continue his responsibility for the global cocoa business as president of ADM’s cocoa division. Bemis joined ADM in 1983.


Randy Moon has been elected vice president of human resources. Moon joined ADM in 2002 as vice president of compensation and benefits.


ADM also announced the appointment of an executive committee to strengthen its organisational structure and provide oversight for the management of the company’s business. The executive committee will be chaired by G. Allen Andreas, chief executive, and is comprised of six additional members: Paul Mulhollem, president and COO; Douglas Schmalz, chief financial officer; Steven Mills, controller; and the company’s three executive vice presidents, William Camp, John Rice and David Smith.
