Archer Daniels Midland Company yesterday selected the designees for its $1 million commitment to assist the families and children of the victims of last week’s tragedies. The Company’s donation will be divided equally between The September 11th Fund and the Twin Towers Fund. In addition, ADM is matching employee contributions to this cause and has assisted in a variety of local projects related to the events of this past week.
“We share the grief of the families affected by last week’s tragic events and hope these donations will assist in providing some measure of support for the innocent victims. Our hearts and prayers are with their families,” said G. Allen Andreas, Chairman and Chief Executive.

The September 11th Fund was created by the United Way and the New York Community Trust to respond to the needs of the victims, their families, and communities affected by the events of September 11. The Twin Towers Fund was established by Mayor Rudolph W. Giuliani to assist the families of our uniform service heroes affected by this disaster.
