Beleaguered Dutch retailer Ahold is close to deciding on a new chief executive for its US Foodservice unit, according to Ahold chief executive Anders Moberg.
The company has been looking for a candidate with a US background in the catering food service sector to take on the role of chief executive of the unit, Moberg said.
“We are very close to making a final decision for the CEO. It’s a question of weeks,” he told Reuters in an interview.
Jim Miller resigned from the position of chief executive for US Foodservice in May following the revelation of accounting irregularities at the unit.
