US grocery retailer Albertsons has named Nicola DiFelice as president of its Shaw’s division, which is headquartered in West Bridgewater, Massachusetts.

Shaw’s is a stand-alone division of Albertsons with 207 stores across six New England states operating under both the Shaw’s and Star Market banners. It was acquired from UK retail group J Sainsbury.
DiFelice is an 18-year veteran of Sainsbury’s and Shaw’s and succeeds Paul T. Gannon who was named Albertsons’ new chief marketing officer last week.
DiFelice most recently served as senior vice president of marketing at Shaw’s for two years. Prior to that she held positions of increasing responsibility in procurement, category management and merchandising.
