Alliant Foodservice, Inc., a subsidiary of Alliant Exchange, Inc. and one of the nation’s largest broadline foodservice distributors, has signed a new, long-term agreement to become primary foodservice distributor to VGM Golf, Inc., a national buying alliance representing more than 2,400 member golf courses, country clubs and resorts.

“We are extremely pleased to become primary vendor for this quality-conscious organization,” said Steve Patterson, vice president, national sales for Alliant. “Whether their members operate white tablecloth restaurants or snack bars or both, Alliant has the segment-specific expertise, products, technology and resources to reliably supply their needs and help them to run their operations more efficiently.”

“We chose Alliant as our vendor partner for many reasons,” said Antonio Luna, senior vice president, Clubhouse Division, for VGM Golf. “They have an excellent management team at the top as well as at their regional bases, and these are the people we are going to be working with. They’re very customer- and service-oriented — the best in the business — and their service is personalized. They carry nothing but quality brands, and they have put together a portfolio of world-class vendor agreements and operational effectiveness incentives that will drive significant savings for participating members.”
