In October 2001 Aurora and Wal-Mart introduced a new Fresh Lender’s Bagel program into 72 Super Centers in Wal-Mart’s Illinois distribution area.
Based on strong results, the programme has now been expanded to the Florida distribution centre. The deal also follows Aurora being named Wal-Mart’s best supplier among all food companies in the Q4 2001.
“We are extremely honored to have received this award from the largest retailer in the US,” said James T. Smith, chairman and CEO.
