Export Development Canada, a Canadian insurance provider and government-backed export promotion agency, says the cooperative is behind with payments of US$628,000 due to four Canadian ranches for bison supplied to the cooperative two years ago.
The Canadian agency filed a civil lawsuit this week in federal court in Fargo, seeking to recoup its losses, interest money and legal costs.
