Yesterday, Boca Foods announced that it will introduce a new line of products made with organic soy in April. Boca is the first national manufacturer to introduce an organic line of products in the soy-based meat alternatives category.
“Boca’s new organic line of soy burgers and breakfast items was developed for consumers who prefer organic foods, and will be sold primarily in natural food stores nationwide. We are committed to satisfying the needs of our consumers and our partners in the natural foods channel,” said Kevin Scott, General Manager of Boca Foods.

In early April, Boca Foods will begin national distribution of products made with organic soy. Six varieties of Boca Burger® meat alternatives will be available in April and Boca Breakfast Patties and Breakfast Links will be available in June. Boca’s organic product line will be certified by Florida Certified Organic Growers & Consumers, Inc. and will comply with the California Organic Foods Act of 1990. Boca will operate under USDA’s new standards for foods made with organic ingredients when fully implemented.
In addition, Boca Foods will continue to market its full line of traditional soy-based meat alternatives for consumers who enjoy these products and are including more soy foods in their diets. These products will continue to be sold in supermarkets and grocery stores across the country.
Boca Foods, based in Madison, Wis., was founded in 1993 by a Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based natural food restaurateur who saw a need for a great-tasting meatless hamburger alternative.
