Coupons.com today announced their new business-to-business print-at-home couponing solution. Coupons.com has provided its launch partners, Quaker Oats Chewy Granola Bars and Veryfine Products, Inc., with the industry’s first Internet based, decentralized, coupon distribution channel that provides security and back end management to drive in-store redemption from their own websites. The new program is called “Bricks.”

“Our ‘Bricks’ solution provides our partners with a cost-effective, secure, online couponing solution to convert their own website traffic, essentially their e-visitors, into actual in-store shoppers,” said Steven Boal, chief executive officer of Coupons.com. “Retailers are making major investments to create an online presence, where the ultimate goal is to drive shoppers into physical stores, ‘Bricks’ helps recoup these costs.”

Coupons.com supplies its partners the technology to reach targeted customers, with savings and incentives via their own web sites. These coupons can be printed on any black and white printer for in-store redemption. This system, when paired with the closed-loop redemption tracking provided by the Valassis Communications Inc., 2D Aztec bar coding system, provides full lifecycle tracking and reporting.

“The Quaker Oats Company has been looking at the options for delivering print-at-home coupons for some time,” said Mark Ailsworth, interactive media director for FCB Chicago. “The Coupons.com secure technology and delivery system coupled with the Valassis tracking and redemption procedures provided us with the right package to move forward.”

According to Jupiter Research, for every one dollar spent online, another eight are spent offline as a result of doing online research. “The Coupons.com ‘Bricks’ solution helps brands reach an entirely new market segment consisting of net savvy, yet primarily offline shoppers,” said Boal.

The “Bricks” program places a coded coupon link on a partner’s web page. When activated, “Bricks” securely transfers offer data directly to the consumer’s printer. Offers are based on each merchant’s unique specifications. The merchant maintains the traffic and Coupons.com manages the offer throughout the entire redemption lifecycle.
