Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream has launched three ice cream flavours branded with Cartoon Network and Warner Bros. cartoon characters, with the aim of capitalising on sales through two films due to be released this summer, starring The Powerpuff Girls and Scooby-Doo.

Powerpuff Mint Chip Ice Cream, Peanut Butter Bones Ice Cream and Scooby-Doo Cookie Dough Light Ice Cream are available nationwide from mid-May through the end of August 2002.

Dreyer’s has also launched a “Dig In to Win” game inside all three products, in which consumers can win a behind-the-scenes tour of Warner Bros. Studios or promotional material.

Suzanne Saltzman, associate marketing manager, commented: “We are delighted to offer ice cream fans our Scooby-Doo flavours for the third year, the upcoming movie debut provides a perfect tie-in with our ‘top dog’ flavours.

“And we were thrilled to create a great new ice cream to tie in with ‘The Powerpuff Girls Movie’ by using Dreyer’s mint chip ice cream, and giving it a twist by adding chocolaty shaped Powerpuff Girls.”
