The Chocolate Manufacturers Association (CMA) and the National Confectioners Association (NCA) have conducted a survey of 1018 adults to reveal the astonishing truth that the majority of consumers eat the ears first when faced with a chocolate Easter bunny.
“Apparently, this is the most appropriate way to enjoy a chocolate bunny,” said Larry Graham, president of both the CMA and NCA.
Of those surveyed, 76% said they start to eat the ears before any other part of the bunny’s anatomy. Eating bunnies’ feet first (5%) and tail first (4%) were not popular choices.
The CMA and the NCA estimate that more than 60 million chocolate bunnies will be sold during this Easter season.
