The Sara Lee Bakery Group is voluntarily recalling 8-count, 19-ounce packages that have the recommended purchase date on a sticker, printed directly on the package or on the plastic bag-closure clip.

People with an allergy or severe sensitivity to eggs could suffer serious or life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume the products.

“Our sanitarians will put them on hold if they find them in retail or wholesale food establishments,” Commissioner Irvin said. “But people concerned about egg allergies who have any of the buns should return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.”
