Californian sourcing software company ecFood has changed its name to ecMarkets, in a bid to more clearly identify with its customer set.
ecMarkets serves industry buying groups, major consumer brand manufacturers, processing and discreet manufacturers, and retailers in several industry segments. These customers have adapted ecMarket’s online and off-line sourcing services to meet a variety of purchasing challenges.
“ecMarkets more accurately reflects our company’s focus and future strategy,” said CEO David Laukat: “While the food industry will continue to be a focus for the company, other industries have found our sourcing solutions to be beneficial to them.
“For example, we now have customers buying much more than food; we have run events for customers to procure such things as energy, construction materials, logistics and packaging.”
