Gary J. Goberville will join Kellogg Company (NYSE: K), effective July 2, as senior vice president, human resources. Goberville has 30 years of human resources experience and has served since 1995 as vice president, human resources for W.W. Grainger, Inc. of Lake Forest, Illinois.

“Gary Goberville brings an outstanding record and skills that will help Kellogg Company continue its commitment to attract and retain the very best talent in the food industry,” said Janet Langford Kelly, Kellogg’s executive vice president for corporate development and administration, general counsel and secretary. “His leadership experience in human resources will be a strong asset in building consistent, dependable growth at Kellogg Company.”

Goberville led efforts which resulted in Grainger being named “One of the Best 100 Companies to Work for in America” in 1998 and 1999. At Grainger, he had human resources responsibility for 16,300 employees and more than 600 facilities in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico, and Hong Kong. Previously, he served in human resources management positions for GenCorp Inc. and General Electric. From 1992 until joining Grainger in 1995, he was a vice president, human resources for GenCorp.

A native of northern Wisconsin, Goberville has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire, and an MBA from the University of Wisconsin, Whitewater. He is a U.S. Army veteran.
