The candy may contain peanuts not listed on the label and is being voluntarily recalled by the importer.
Brooklyn, New York-based Blooming Imports is recalling its 10.5-ounce packages of “Soft Candy”. Codes on the recalled packages are 08062002, 08252002 and 08192002. The candy comes in a clear package.
“Our food safety inspectors are checking to make sure this product has been removed from sale as part of their routine inspections,” said Commissioner Irvin. “Law requires that all ingredients be listed on the product label. This lets the public know exactly what they are eating and protects individuals who may have allergic reactions or have other health concerns relating to a particular ingredient.”
