Glory Foods, a manufacturer and distributor of Southern-style food products, has announced the appointment of G. Barry Huff to the role of president.
As president, Huff will be responsible for developing marketing programmes and services to enhance brand awareness and sales of Glory’s products. He replaces the late William F. Williams, president and co-founder of the Columbus, Ohio-based firm.
“I hope to continue with the vision of Williams and his team,” said Huff: “He had a great vision, he saw an opportunity to market specifically to African-Americans, and he took something from nothing and generated a nice company. This is a business where we have to continue to be innovative and bring out new products. One of the things Glory Foods has done very well is bring new things to the marketplace,” adds Huff.
Huff previously served as VP, sales and marketing at Hoopeston Foods, a private label food processor, in Bloomington, Minnesota. Prior to this he was a partner in Becky Lerdal & Associates, a marketing consulting firm. Huff was also a marketing manager for the Pillsbury Co.
