Some Hostess oatmeal cookie packages may contain chocolate chip cookies that contain milk and eggs that are not listed in the ingredient statement on the package label, the company said.
People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to whey or milk protein or eggs run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume the product.
The company has not received any complaints or reports of illness related to this labelling error. People who do not have milk protein or egg allergies can eat the product without concern. The packaging error was limited to one day’s production.
