Hansen Natural Corporation has acquired the Junior Juice brand for an undisclosed amount, the company announced yesterday. The natural beverage company explained that the brand, which targets the toddler market for juice drinks, will now be integrated with Hansen’s product portfolio, and be marketed as Hansen’s Junior Juice.
The brand is expected to boost Hansen’s revenue with net sales of about US$7.5m a year, and the production of the juice will be consolidated with the California-based Hansen Beverage Company.
The Hansen group, which posted net sales of US$79.7m for 2000, added that the brand will complement its existing products in the children’s aseptic juice category; the Hansen’s Juice Slam and Juice Blast multi-vitamin drinks.
