US cereals giant Kellogg has laid off 131 employees at its Kansas City Sunshine Biscuits plant.
Fifteen salaried managers and 116 union workers have been made redundant after production lines for Hi Ho and Krispy crackers were shut down. The plant was acquired by Kellogg through its merger with Keebler.
Chris Ervin, a Kellogg spokeswoman, said the job cuts were made in connection with a corporate reorganisation and efficiency moves after the sale in April of its Bake-Line Products line to Atlantic Baking Group Inc.
