The directors of Battle Creek, Mich.-based cereals giant Kellogg have elected Jeffrey W. Montie as a senior VP, effective immediately.

Montie, 41, began his Kellogg career as a brand manager in the ready-to- eat cereal (RTEC) business 15 years ago. He has also held assignments in Canada, South Africa and Germany, and was vice president, global innovation for Kellogg Europe.
He was promoted to vice president and general manager, RTEC in 1999, senior vice president, RTEC in 2000 and to his current position as president of the Kellogg USA Morning Foods Division later that year. Montie was recently named to the company’s executive management committee.
“Jeff is a key member of our leadership team and has helped us reinvigorate our cereal business,” said Carlos M. Gutierrez, chairman and CEO. “This promotion is a well-deserved recognition of his past accomplishments and of his ongoing role in this important segment of our business.”
