Nestlé and Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream have agreed to sell off some ice cream brands and distribution assets to enable the Swiss food giant’s takeover of the US ice cream company to go ahead.

Nestlé has agreed to sell some frozen dessert distribution operations to Integrated Brands, a unit of CoolBrands International, if the takeover goes ahead. Dreyer’s has agreed to sell to CoolBrands the Dreamery and Whole Fruit Sorbet brands.
“We remain optimistic that this will satisfy the concerns (of the FTC) and the parties will be able to complete the transaction,” Nestlé spokesman Francois Perroud was quoted by Reuters as saying.
