The US unit of Swiss food giant Nestlé has announced the launch of a range of whole grain ready meals under its Lean Cuisine brand.

The new Spa Cuisine meals contain lean meat, vegetables and whole grains such as brown rice and whole wheat pasta.
Nestlé USA said the fresh-frozen meals each contain less than 300 calories and are aimed at taking advantage of increasing consumer interest in fibre-rich whole grains.
The new meals include Chicken Pecan with brown rice, Lemongrass Chicken with brown rice, Pork with Cherry Sauce and wild and brown rice, Salmon with Basil and whole wheat pasta.
