USA: New Jersey company recalls poultry on listeria concerns
New Jersey-based Jack Lambersky Poultry Company has halted operations and is voluntarily recalling 200,000 pounds of ready-to-eat chicken and turkey over concerns that it might be linked to a listeria outbreak. Tests showed that a strain of listeria found in some of the meat matched a strain that sickened 50 people and killed seven in the northeastern US.
