Packaged food company ConAgra Foods Inc has announced that Lou Nieto has joined as its president, packaged meats and deli.

Nieto is a seasoned leader in the packaged foods industry, ConAgra said. Most recently, he was president and chief executive officer of Federated Group Inc, a privately held national provider of private brands, products and services to grocery industry retailers. Prior to that position, Nieto held senior positions at Dean Foods Company and Mission Foods Company. He also has held positions of increasing responsibility at Kraft Foods Inc and The Quaker Oats Company.
“Lou’s experience and strong skill set will be an asset to growing popular ConAgra Foods brands, such as Armour, Brown ‘N Serve, Butterball, Eckrich, Healthy Choice and Hebrew National,” said Dean Hollis, executive vice president, retail products. “His leadership will help focus the packaged meats and deli teams to drive higher margin mix and aggressively manage product margins.”
