Sysco Corp, the largest foodservice marketer and distributor in the US, has announced that Catherine Kayser has been promoted to executive VP of Sysco Food Services of Seattle, Inc., a SYSCO subsidiary located in Kent, Wash.

Kayser, who is currently senior VP of the Seattle operation, will assume her new duties on 30 June 2002, the beginning of Sysco’s fiscal year 2003.


Thomas E. Lankford, executive VP and president of foodservice operations for Sysco, said that Kayser has been involved in the foodservice industry for more than 20 years. She joined the Seattle operation in 1995 as territory programme sales manager, progressed to director of programme sales the following year, and in 1997 was named VP of programme sales.


Kayser advanced to VP, sales in 1999 and last year she was promoted to her current position.
