Springdale, Ark.-based Tyson Foods, the world’s largest processor and marketer of beef, chicken and pork, has announced the appointment of a new senior-level position within the company, that of senior VP, chief information officer (CIO).

According to Chairman and CEO John Tyson, “this is another step in addressing the exciting new challenges and opportunities created by the new Tyson Foods we formed last year.”
Jeri R. Dunn has been named to the new position, reporting to the CEO. She will be responsible for leading the company’s team of more than 500 information technology professionals, prioritising system enhancement and technology needs, while establishing objectives consistent with the company’s strategic and operational direction.
Dunn has more than twenty years of information systems experience, most recently as VP and CIO for a multinational branded food company.
