Kuhns, formerly senior director of education programs, will expand her role within the association and the United Research and Education Foundation to include overall management of all educational programming, including United’s annual convention and exposition, regional seminars, annual conferences, and leadership programs.
“Victoria is a special asset to United and our industry,” said United president Tom Stenzel. “Her experience working on United’s Produce Industry Leadership Program and other educational events has greatly enhanced her knowledge of our industry and our members.
“We’re looking forward to Victoria bringing that same focus on member service and leadership to all of our education programs,” he said.
“I am extremely excited about my new role with United,” said Kuhns. “I look forward to the opportunity to expand and enhance our current educational programs, as well as build new educational opportunities for our members.”
Kuhns joined United in 1997 in the position of the industry relations assistant. In 1998 she became industry relations coordinator, and in November 2000 was promoted to director of education programs. She later became senior director of education programs.
