Dallas-based viaLink Company, provider of synchronization and supply chain information services to the food, retail and foodservice industries, has announced that Brian Carter has been promoted to CFO effective immediately.
Carter, formerly VP of finance, succeeds William P. Creasman, who resumes his original role as viaLink’s general counsel, corporate secretary and VP. Carter will be responsible for all corporate finance, accounting, tax, internal audit and investor relations responsibilities for the company.

Warren D. Jones, viaLink’s CEO, said: “Brian’s promotion formalizes his day-to-day management of our financial operations, which he assumed more than a year ago to allow Will to devote a significant amount of his time to capital-raising activities.
“Both have done an outstanding job in helping viaLink move beyond the development stage toward cash flow breakeven and profitability.”
