Dublin, Ohio-based restaurant group Wendy’s International yesterday [Thursday] confirmed strong sales results in February (the fiscal month ended 3 March).
The group, which controls the Wendy’s and Tim Hortons brands, reported same-store sales for February that increased 3.9% at Wendy’s US company restaurants; 8.3% at Tim Hortons® restaurants in Canada and 10.6% at Tim Hortons restaurants in the US.
Wendy’s had previously announced preliminary sales results for February, in advance of management’s presentation at the Bear Stearns Retail, Restaurants and Apparel Conference in New York on 1 March.
The company will announce its Q1 2002 fiscal results on 1 May during its annual meeting of shareholders. Its 2002 analyst meeting is due to take place on 22-23 May in Toronto, Canada.
