US fastfood company Wendy’s has announced that the chain’s current advertising featuring Mr. Wendy will complete its run at the end of November.

Wendy’s said the company is refocusing its advertising direction to “more prominently position Wendy’s food and heritage of quality”.


The company’s advertising partner, McCann Erickson, has been working on new advertising, which will begin airing later this year.


“While decisions are still being made about new creative, food has always been the hero at Wendy’s, and we’re going to make sure that comes through loud and clear,” said Wendy’s executive vice president of marketing, Don Calhoon.
