Jacksonville, Florida-based grocer Winn-Dixie Stores, has announced the election of K. Michael Buck to vice president of deli/bakery merchandising by the company’s board of directors.

Buck, who will report to Dan Lafever, senior VP, sales and procurement, joined the Winn-Dixie team in April 2000 as corporate director of deli/bakery merchandising, coordinating merchandising, procurement and operations.
He has 15 years of deli/bakery management experience and previously worked for Farm Fresh as VP of service deli, fresh bakery and catering.
“His management skills and expertise will enable him to lead the Deli/Bakery team in a positive and growth oriented direction,” said Lafever. “His years of experience are invaluable to Winn-Dixie and we look forward to his leadership.”
