As the US heads into the barbeque season, a poll has revealed that the outdoor grill is becoming increasingly popular with women.

The barbeque is traditionally the reservce of men, but according to the the 13th Annual GrillWatch Survey the number of female grillers in the US is up 20% up on the figures from three years ago.


This has been explained as due to changing economic and social factors, such as; more women in the workforce and the marked increase in female heads of households.


The survey, in which Weber grilling company quizzed 2,700 randomly selected grill owners, also revealed that nearly 90% of Americans will fire up their barbeques “for a good old-fashioned cookout” this Independence Day.
