Louisville, Kentucky-based restaurant group Yum! Brands revealed yesterday [Wednesday] that a new deal with West Coast fast-casual pasta chain Pasta Bravo would pave the way for a trial of multi-branded stores through its Pizza Hut chain.

Yum!, the second largest fastfood company in the world, will also test pizza and burger combinations using its recently acquired A&W restaurant chain.


CEO and chairman David Novak spoke of the licensing agreement with Pasta Bravo during a conference call to discuss Q2 earnings.


Novak explained that he hoped to eventually create around 13,000 Yum!-operated, multi-branded outlets in the US.
