Vietnam’s coffee exports during the 2002-03 season are likely to fall 30% year-on-year to around 500,000 tons.
The fall in exports is reported to be down to lower investment, together with drought and heavy rains.
The findings, which were revealed in a report by the Vietnam Coffee Association (Vicofa), also showed that the country had exported 731,735 tons of coffee beans worth US$263.3m in the 2001-02 crop season, reported Dow Jones International News.
