Unilever has taken full control of its subsidiary in Vietnam, the Anglo-Dutch consumer goods giant said today (23 June).
In a short statement, Unilever said that “under the terms of an agreement” with local partner Vinachem, the group would increase its ownership to 100% of the business.
Financial details were not disclosed. Vinachem had held a 33.3% stake.
Unilever first entered Vietnam in 1995 and sells brands including Knorr and Lipton in the south-east Asian country.
