There are well established use cases for robotics within the consumer goods and packaging industries. Both sectors have used caged industrial robots, industrial cobots, and logistics robots to automate production lines and logistics operations for some time now. Robotics do not fit as easily into the foodservice business model. Robots improve profitability in the long term but have high up-front costs, so investing in robotics is not without risks.
