Inspired Pet Nutrition has ambitions of becoming one of the top three largest pet-food businesses in the UK.
The co-op said 2023 was characterised by "difficult market conditions", replete with "one-off restructuring costs".
The dairy cooperative expects that positive momentum to continue in 2024.
The integration of the two businesses will come into effect on 1 May.
The commissioning of a new factory unit will conclude a five-year development cycle that began in 2020.
The new project, named Food 2.0, is aiming “to create a food system in Finland where growth and added value are built on the basis of sustainable production”.
“Our ability to grow sales in 2024 will be temporarily constrained by the efforts to restart our broth facility” - CEO Steven Oakland.
