US grocery retailer Supervalu has announced that it has named Anthony Pellegrin vice president, corporate development.

In this position, Pellegrin will manage Supervalu’s merger, acquisition and divestiture activity. Specifically, Pellegrin will lead the negotiation and completion of transactions, including joint ventures, partnerships and other significant corporate activities that enhance the growth and capital return of the company’s businesses. He reports to David Boehnen, executive vice president.
Pellegrin joins Supervalu from Honeywell International, where he was most recently general counsel for the sensing and control division. Prior to that, he was director of corporate development at Federated Direct/Fingerhut Companies, where he had responsibility for due diligence, negotiation and drafting for mergers, acquisitions and other strategic transactions.
