Troubled Italian food group Parmalat is reportedly planning to file lawsuits against a number of Italian banks in an effort to recover some of its losses.

Parmalat, which filed for bankruptcy after revealing a massive hole in its accounts late last year, has already sued several foreign financial institutions but has not yet started legal proceedings against any Italian banks. Now however, Parmalat administrator Enrico Bondi is set to try to recover money paid to the banks in the run-up to the company’s collapse, Reuters reported, citing a source close to the matter.

“Bondi is ready. The claw-back actions will be filed soon, in the next few days,” the source was quoted as saying.
