GREECE: Carrefour-Marinopoulos acquires local rival – report
Greek supermarket chain Carrefour-Marinopoulos, part of French retail giant Carrefour, is reported to have taken over local competitor Xynos for an undisclosed amount.
Greek supermarket chain Carrefour-Marinopoulos, part of French retail giant Carrefour, is reported to have taken over local competitor Xynos for an undisclosed amount.
Xynos, established in 1989, has 26 outlets located in Attica, in south-eastern Greece, and Epirus, in north-western Greece, according to the Greek News Digest.
Carrefour-Marinopoulos operates 14 hypermarkets, 101 Champion Marinopoulos supermarkets, 46 convenience stores under the 5’Marinopoulos banner, and 55 other supermarkets under franchise agreements.
