The move comes amid claims Wal-Mart has also decided to stop selling organic products under the Wild Oats brand.

According to The Wall Street Journal, Wal-Mart is to end a deal it had had for two years with Wild Oats brand owner Yucaipa, the US private-equity firm. The move will take place over the coming months, the WSJ said.

The Wal-Mart spokesperson declined to comment on the report when asked to confirm the decision by just-food.

Wal-Mart’s use of the Wild Oats brand was announced in April 2014. At the time, Wal-Mart said the move was made to provide “more affordable” organic products to US consumers. The products would “save customers 25% or more” on organic groceries.
