Dean Foods subsidiary Morningstar Foods is hoping to put the finishing touches to a US$7m expansion of its production and distribution facility in Florida next year.

The expansion will increase production capacity and afford the company extra space to store and distribute product delivered by associate plants, plant manager John Jennings told the Florida Union Times.


The company plans to build a 42,500-square-foot storage centre for the Silk soy milk it makes and other items it produces for private label sellers. A small number of jobs will be created through the expansion, which is scheduled for completion late next year.
