The company is keen to serve both the Argentinean market and the rest of the Mercosur trade block, which was founded by Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay in March 1991.
McCain already has a potato processing plant in Balcarce, eastern Argentina, which produced frozen potato fries and mashed potatoes for the entire Mercosur block.
