US coffee shop chain Starbucks has reported a 26% increase in consolidated net revenues to US$517m for the five weeks to 27 June, compared to the same period of the previous year.

Comparable sales for company-operated stores rose 10% for the period, compared to a year earlier.


“Our June revenue results mark a significant achievement with 150 consecutive months of comparable store sales growth,” said chairman Howard Schultz.


Starbucks said it now has 8,119 outlets, including both company-owned and licensed stores, a net increase of 894 stores during the 39 weeks to 27 June. As of 27 June, the company had 5,784 US stores, of which 4,081 are company-operated, and 2,335 international stores, of which 856 are company-operated.
