The EU and Israel have signed an agreement which puts an end to the seven-year controversy regarding labelling of products made in the territories occupied by Israel since 1967.

The goods include canned foods, palm oil, citrus fruit and fresh produce that will now be subjected to taxes and customs duties, separating them from goods made in Israel which enjoyed tariff free entry of its goods to the 25 EU member countries, under the 25-year old Israel-EU preferential trade agreement.
