In a statement sent to Just Food, Hilton, based in Cambridgeshire in eastern England, said: “As part of our plan to make sure that Hilton Seafood is fit for the future, and as we continue to adapt our business to provide a market-leading service for our customers, we are making changes to a number of roles.

“Sadly this means we have started consultations around the potential reduction of around 80 positions, but these do not involve any front line colleagues and no production operative roles are at risk.”

The company said it is supporting employees through this process and looking to redeploy people into vacant roles wherever possible.

“We have an investment programme underway across Hilton Seafood and we have further investment planned for next year,” it said.
