US cereal and snacks maker Kellogg has announced the promotion of Dr. Donna J. Banks to senior vice president, worldwide innovation and operations, reporting directly to Carlos Gutierrez, chairman and chief executive officer.

Banks, who has been with the company for 21 years and most recently served as senior vice president, research, quality and technology, will also become a member of the executive management committee.
In her new position, Banks will be responsible for worldwide research, product development, quality, operations and supply chain functions.
Banks succeeds King T. Pouw, executive vice president, operations and technology, who is retiring from the company after 26 years.
