Unilever Bestfoods, a subsidiary of Anglo-Dutch consumer products giant Unilever, is seeking offers for its seed oils and cooking fats business operating under the Crisp’nDry, Flora, Mazola, Olivio and Cokeen brands in the UK and the Republic of Ireland.

The company plans to retain ownership of the Flora and Olivio brands, which are offered on the basis of a restricted licence for the manufacture and sale of seed oils under the two brand names, reported Dow Jones International News. The company’s White Flora cooking fats business is not included in the sale.

Unilever Bestfoods said the combined sales of the brands on offer were £31m (US$55.4m) in 2003.

The company said none of its employees will need to transfer to the new owner of the business and any impact on staff numbers at Unilever Bestfoods’ Purfleet facility will be minor.
