UK supermarket giant Tesco has finally sold its Dillons newsagent chain, which it has been trying to divest since its acquisition of T&S Stores in January 2003.

Tesco sold the chain of 181 shops to newsagent operator TM Retail, which already has the Forbuoys and Martin’s banners, for an undisclosed sum, reported the Financial Times.
Tesco had acquired the Dillons chain as part of its acquisition of T&S Stores. Dillons is believed to be worth around £20m (US$36.3m).
